Dear hikers and nature lovers… IT’S TIME!
Join us on Sunday, March 1, 2026 for an amazing new trail between Keserwan and Byblos, starting from Faraya and ending at the breathtaking Afqa Waterfall 💦
🥾 Trail Description:
We will start our hike from Faraya, passing through Hrajel, Qahmez, Lessa, ending our hike at Afqa Waterfall.
Ascents and descents are moderate.
Trail Type: One-way trail
Terrain: Footpaths, off-road, and some asphalt sections
Distance: ~16 km
Moving Time: ~5 hours
Total Time: ~6 hours
Difficulty: Moderate (5/10)
Max Elevation: 1690m
Min Elevation: 1150m
🌿 Trail Highlights:
• Scenic views along the entire trail
• Natural water springs
• Small lakes
• Unique rock formations
• Afqa Grotto & Afqa Waterfall
📍 Meeting Points:
Downtown Martyrs’ Square – Departure at 7:15 AM
Pickup available on the way
Estimated return to Beirut: 5:30 PM
🎒 Recommended Gear:
Hiking or sports pants, proper hiking shoes, light snacks for energy, 2L of water, hiking poles, and of course… your positive vibes!
💵 Fees: $25
Includes transportation, guiding, coffee & tea, healthy snacks, and first aid kit.
Medical insurance is not included.

Hiking shoes are obligatory
30-minute morning stop
Minimum age: 14+
