General Participation Rules
Pokémon Trainer Club Account: All participants must have a Pokémon Trainer Club account with a Player ID attached and opt-in to the Play! Pokémon program to earn Championship Points (CP).

Play Points and Prizes: All participants receive at least 1 Play! Point. Championship Points are awarded to top finishers, with the best four finishes per season counting towards an invitation to the World Championships. 
Tournament Structure and Gameplay
Tournament Format: Events primarily use the Swiss round tournament structure, where players compete in a set number of rounds based on attendance, regardless of wins or losses.
No "Top Cut": Unlike League Cups, League Challenges typically do not have a "top cut" to single-elimination rounds; the winner is determined by match points after the final Swiss round.
Match Format: Matches are Best of One game per round.
Round Length: Each round typically has a time limit of 30 minutes.
Match Points: A win earns 3 match points, a tie earns 1, and a loss earns 0. Tiebreakers use the opponent's win percentage throughout the tournament (resistance). 
Deck Construction Rules
Format: TCG League Challenges primarily use the Standard format.
Standard Format Legality (2025 Season): The current Standard format for the 2025 season includes cards with the G, H, and future regulation marks. Cards with the F regulation mark and older are no longer legal for play.
Card Legality: Older versions of cards without current regulation marks can be used as long as an identical card with a legal regulation mark has been released (e.g., a Rare Candy from an old set is legal because a Rare Candy with a "G" mark exists).
Deck Size: Decks must contain exactly 60 cards.
Card Limits: No more than four copies of any single card (by name, excluding basic Energy cards) can be in a deck.
