Join us for a powerful, community-centered workshop exploring Dunham Technique, led by dancer and educator Megan Rakeepile.
Developed by the legendary Katherine Dunham, Dunham Technique fuses modern dance with Afro-Caribbean movement traditions and centers cultural expression, rhythm, and embodied storytelling. In this session, Megan will guide participants through grounded, rhythmic combinations with an emphasis on breath, flow, and the deep connection between body and spirit.
This workshop is both movement and mindset — an opportunity to explore the lineage, cultural roots, and liberatory possibilities within Dunham Technique. Expect to move, sweat, and engage fully with your whole self.
