Curious about yoga but overwhelmed by where to start? Yoga doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. If you’ve ever felt unsure which class to take or intimidated in yoga spaces, this workshop invites you to pause, unlearn, and re-approach yoga with curiosity and care. Join Andrea from Ample Movement for a 2 hour interactive and inclusive workshop that blends conversation, history, and accessible movement to help you find a practice that actually fits you.
We’ll start things with a relaxed, talk-centered first half. We’ll discuss the roots and history of yoga, how it’s evolved over time, and how many modern yoga spaces have become disconnected from its origins. This is a safe space to ask questions and explore yoga from an inclusive perspective. No experience or prior knowledge required.
In the second half, we’ll move into a workshop-style practice. You’ll try a variety of common yoga poses and learn ways to make them work for your body as it is today allowing you to participate in any yoga class you may go to in the future. We’ll focus on variations, props, and supportive tools so yoga can feel grounded, accessible, and genuinely supportive…not something you have to “be good at.”
