We are taking donations of house essentials like towels, wash cloths, shower curtain, kitchen utensils, pots and pan set, dishes, gift cards to stores so he can pick out stuff himself. Please no used items. we don't want to go through ppls unwanted junk. I'm only 1 person and going through donations to c if they r in decent condition takes up a lot of time. He is making a list of all the things he needs. We will keep everyone updated on what he doesn't need after donations are received, but gift cards help a lot. This way he can get the things he needs himself. Any baskets, giftcards, or new items donated to his benefit would be even more helpful. I have helped with 6 other benefits and have personally seen complete strangers show up more than families at some benefits. complete strangers who just stopped by to donate to the benefit by participating in the chinese auction or just to buy 50/50s because they had to work so they stopped on their lunch break or after work with money from many ppl at their workplace that all wanted to make a donation. There is still a lot of good ppl out there. I am a strong believer that if you put good out there, good will come back to you. I believe ppl underestimate the citizens of Chautauqua county. We show up for our neighbors. We need to show everyone that we go above and beyond for our neighbors in need. This county, and this town...has a community like no other. Sometimes we need a reminder of how great of a community we can be. Randy Grey and I are putting together this benefit to help show Marvin how the citizens of Jamestown and Chautauqua county come together to help one another. Adults will have an entry fee, but kids are free. This entry fee includes all you can eat spaghetti that Brothers By Choice is kindly helping us prepare. There will be a Chinese auction, live music, and 50/50. We will have more details soon. We need help with donations for the chinese auction.
