The Overthrone is a Swedish, Stockholm-based Melodic death metal band that has only begun its great journey.

Being inspired by the Swedish melodic death metal scene, The Overthrone aims to make their own mark among greats such as In Flames, At The Gates and Arch Enemy. The Overthrone brings a new touch to the established Scandinavian melodeath sound.

Through thrashing riffs, heavy grooves and soaring melodies, The Overthrone make their music come alive. Whether it's on stage or in the studio.

In January of 2025, "Bug Hunt" marked The Overthrone's return as their first release since Bloodmoon (2022). Another single, "Bred to Exterminate" was released in April.

A new EP, "Reclamation", comes out in 2025.
