She holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA and earned two master’s degrees as well as her doctorate from Columbia University. An expert in implementation science in resource-limited settings, Dr. Kenya leads rigorous, community-engaged research programs designed to advance sexual health outcomes.
She is the Principal Investigator of INSTACARE, an NIMHD R01-funded study deploying community health workers to optimize viral suppression in Black people living with HIV,and also leads an NHLBI-funded R25 research training program in the U.S. Virgin Islands. In addition, Dr. Kenya founded CHAMP, which she scaled from a localized research study into Miami-Dade County’s largest publicly funded, street-based sexual wellness clinic. Her extensive research portfolio directly influenced regional sexual health policies and has been supported by the NIH.....🕑: 09:40 AMBREAKOUT SESSION 1 a (CLINICAL) Host: David Sears, MD Info: Dr. David Sears is a Professor of Medicine and a specialist in infectious diseases. He provides primary care to people with HIV in UCSF’s 360: Positive Care Center, where he is also the medical director.  He also attends on the infectious diseases inpatient consult service and the internal medicine wards. As a clinician educator, David has a particular passion for capacity building to strengthen the HIV primary care workforce locally and abroad. He is the Site Director of the HIV Continuity Clinic for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship at UCSF Health where he leads the 360 Clinic’s educational programs. He currently collaborates with the Vietnam Administration of Disease Prevention to strengthen HIV treatment and educational programs and is the Senior Medical Education Lead for the Strengthening Interprofessional Education to Improve HIV Care Across Africa (STRIPE) program.....🕑: 09:40 AMBREAKOUT SESSION 1b (CASE MANAGEMENT) Host: Ms. Lolita HillInfo: Lolita Hill is a nationally recognized public health leader, educator, and community advocate with more than 40 years of experience advancing HIV prevention, substance use education, and health equity. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Jacksonville Health and Educational Resource Center (JH-ERC), where she leads innovative programs focused on HIV prevention, education, testing, and linkage to care for underserved communities.  An accomplished speaker and mentor, Ms. Hill has presented at national conferences and has received numerous honors recognizing her exceptional service, including the Florida HIV/AIDS Red Ribbon Excellence Award, the Jacksonville Legend Award, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Public Service Award, and the John Ryan Lifetime Achievement Award.🕑: 11:00 AMBREAK🕑: 11:15 AMPLENARY SESSION 2: SOCIAL NETWORK STRATEGIES FOR HIV TESTING AND PREVENTIONHost: Susanne Doblecki-Lewis, MD ProfessorInfo: Dr. Susanne Doblecki-Lewis is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami and an infectious diseases clinician in the Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami. Her clinical and research focus is on improving access to HIV and infectious disease prevention strategies for underserved populations. As the Chief of the Infectious Diseases Division, she leads the 38 faculty physicians at the University of Miami and has a pivotal role in directing the University’s clinical care, research, and response to COVID-19, HIV, mpox, and other infectious disease challenges.
Dr. Doblecki-Lewis founded and directs the University of Miami Mobile PrEP Program and the UM Rapid Access Wellness Clinic, which provide HIV, sexually transmitted infection, and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for prevention of HIV services at locations throughout Miami-Dade County since 2018.
