Saturday  Dec 20th at 11:00am we’ll be hosting a **FREE** Traditional Japanese Jujitsu class at the dojo.

We’re bringing in Shihan Xavier Turcotte, a 6th-degree black belt in Shobudo Bujitsu Jujitsu. He has spent nearly two decades studying and teaching a traditional samurai-based style of jujitsu rooted in Bushido—the “way of the warrior”—with a strong emphasis on discipline, self-control, and loyalty to family and community.

 What to Expect

* Introduction to traditional Japanese Jujitsu and samurai training concepts
* Fundamental throws, joint locks, and standing self-defense
* Focus on posture, balance, and control rather than brute strength
* Discussion of how Bushido and martial arts values apply on and off the mat

**All levels are welcome**—whether you’re brand new or advanced, you’ll get something out of this session.

? **Please bring your Gi** (and belt). If you just want to watch and take notes, that’s welcome too.

Open Mat After Class

Our regular Open Mat will follow right after the seminar, around 12:30pm, and we’ll keep the mats and cage open until 2:00pm for rolling, drilling, and rounds.
