Unlock the language of the cards and discover the art of intuitive divination through this in-depth, three-week Tarot class led by Samantha Porter and Anthony Watson. This immersive series is designed to help participants build a confident, personal relationship with their tarot decks, moving beyond memorization to true interpretation.
Across three consecutive weeks, participants will explore the structure of the tarot, including the Major and Minor Arcana, the elemental correspondences, and the symbolic depth that gives each card its power. The course combines traditional meanings with modern insight, blending history, symbolism, and intuitive reading techniques to create a well-rounded and practical understanding of the tarot.
Samantha and Anthony will also introduce a unique interpretive approach known as “Through the Eyes of Tarot”, an accessible and intuitive method that focuses on understanding the emotion, imagery, and story within each card rather than relying solely on memorized definitions. This approach helps students connect naturally to their decks and read with clarity and authenticity.
Each week will focus on a new layer of mastery:
Week 1: Foundations of Tarot — the history, structure, suits, elements, and archetypes.
Week 2: The Art of Interpretation — connecting intuition with traditional meaning and storytelling.
Week 3: Reading Practice and Integration — learning spreads, real-world application, and building confidence as a reader.
This is a hands-on, interactive learning experience designed for all skill levels, from complete beginners to those seeking to refine their technique. Each participant will receive a tarot deck included with attendance, ensuring that everyone begins the series with the same energetic foundation and tools for practice.
Class Donation: $175 per person for the full three-week series.
Schedule: One class per week for three consecutive weeks. (Oct 2nd, 9th and 16th) at 7:15PM
Location: 716 Court Street, Jacksonville, North Carolina (directly next to Pure Intent).
