Students will work on basic methods of painting with watercolor, including making a color wheel, layering colors, color mixing, wet-n-wet method, dry brush, and more. A drawing element will be incorporated using the method blind contour drawing, which will be paired with the painting to create an image of Jacksonville.
Studio Practice is a monthly series of hands-on, practical art classes where students of all levels learn to create in varying media with the instruction of a local artist.

ABOUT TERESA COOK
Teresa Cook was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She obtained a bachelor's in fine arts from the University of North Florida in 2012. Over the last ten years, she has been traveling to different countries as well as around her home city.
Cook is an abstract architectural watercolor artist and has been painting watercolor since 2012. Creating mini watercolor abstractions, she has always found pleasure in the landscapes and buildings that have been created over time. Each of her watercolor and ink paintings are created on a smooth paper called “Yupo” and are meant to capture a moment in time without the interruption of people.
