This class will present one method of improving your garden soil: Cover Crops.The class consists of 2 parts:A presentation and discussion indoors at our Urban Garden Field Office. In this portion of the class, we'll discuss the benefits of cover crops and how to implement them.A hands-on activity outdoors in our Urban Demonstration Garden. During this time you will see how we are implementing cover crops, try your hand at planting a bed, and be able to ask all kinds of questions.Because part of this course is hands-on and outdoors, please wear:Closed-toe shoesHat, sunscreen, sunglasses and anything else you need to be comfortable in the heat.Participants will take home summer cover crop seeds!Please note: Recording the presentation, either video or audio, is not permitted unless written permission is provided by the educator.The University of Florida is committed to providing universal access to all of our events.
