MOCA Jacksonville celebrates the 10-year anniversary of its Project Atrium series with the community art project IMAGINATION SQUARED10. Revisiting the exhibition that paved the way for the acclaimed Project Atrium series, IMAGINATION SQUARED10 honors the idea that each of us is important, has a voice, and shares space in this world. We invite you to collaborate with us on this Project Atrium installation by submitting your own square to this exhibition, going on view April 16 – August 8, 2021 in the MOCA Haskell Atrium Gallery.

PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

Participants must reside in Greater Jacksonville and NE Florida, including Flagler, Putnam, Baker, Clay, St. Johns, Duval, Nassau Counties

The Museum reserves the right to deny entry to works not complying with the guidelines.

By registering the participant agrees to the release of all rights over the work to the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville.

Each participant will be given a 10 x 10 x 3/4 inch wood panel on which to create their work of art. We invite you to be creative in your process and use of materials – let your imagination flow! These can include but are not limited to paint, pastels, pasted or sculptural collage, photographic materials, ink, and carving. If adding sculptural or relief elements, objects may not exceed more than one inch from any side, or six inches out.

After registering here on Eventbrite, squares can be picked up at the front desk of the museum during regular museum hours with the ticket number/name beginning December 18, 2021.

Return the final squares to the museum during regular museum hours through March 21st, 2021. No late entries will be admitted. Please indicate clearly on the back of the work your name and title of the work, as you wish it to be listed.

No content that attacks, slanders, or promotes hatred against people or groups based on race/ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, political affiliation, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity will be accepted.

Profanity is not permitted; no name calling, slurs, threatening content, and/or inciting violence will be accepted.

Sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, drug glorifying, or needlessly upsetting content will not be accepted.

Any content that is deemed to violate intellectual property rights — that includes copyright, trademark, plagiarism, and other proprietary rights, will not be accepted.

Any artwork submitted that violates these Guidelines will not be accepted.
