EART (East Applegate Ridge Trail)
We’ll be hiking approximately 4–5 miles of the out-and-back trail starting from the top parking lot. Directions: use Apple Maps or google map and search up Easy Applegate Ridge Trail. I’ll post a link in the comments. Make sure you go to the Trailhead that is off of Sterling Creek Road.
There are bathrooms at the trailhead.
Meet at the trailhead at 1:30pm.
Elevation gain is only about 400 ft, and it’s a gentle mix of ups and downs—nothing strenuous.
The hike is rated moderate mainly due to the distance and the fact that it follows a ridge. The trail is safe and well-defined, but it is a ridge, so awareness is helpful.
There is some cell service near the parking lot, but it’s still smart to download the AllTrails map ahead of time.
AllTrails lists the full trail at 10 miles, but we’ll only be covering 4–5 miles.
Link to my AllTrails map with distance and elevation is included on my Hike55up Bio page - go there for full reviews so you know what this trail is all about!
What to bring: water, snacks, trekking poles (if you like them), and your phone or camera—because the valley views are incredible!
