In just 15 minutes, you can help researchers collect valuable data on pollinators while supporting conservation efforts across 6 southeastern states. Simply observe a blooming pollinator plant, count the pollinators that visit, and submit your observations. Every count helps raise awareness, improve pollinator habitat, and protect the insects responsible for one out of every three bites of food we eat. Together, we can make a difference- one pollinator count at a time!Don’t worry, during this special event at Castaway Island Preserve, Master Gardener Volunteers will offer a TRAINING SESSION before you begin. Listen to a presentation (indoors) and get all the supplies needed to head out into the garden to do your pollinator count!We will provide the count sheets. There is a restroom and parking on site.This is a family friendly event and open to participants of ALL AGES! There is no cost to attend!
