Springfield Preservation and Revitalization invites you to join us for Drew Day: A Sip and Paint Event, a FREE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY afternoon at the Drew Residence on Saturday, February 28 at 4:00 PM.
ABOUT THE DREW RESIDENCE REHABILITATION PROJECT:
In November 2025, Springfield Preservation and Revitalization acquired the Drew Residence at 245 W 3rd Street, creating an important opportunity to showcase how the City of Jacksonville can partner with neighborhood organizations to address the issue of demolition by neglect. By taking on one of the most difficult cases of demolition by neglect in Jacksonville, SPAR hopes to rehabilitate the Drew Residence in a way that can serve as proof of concept for all at-risk structures in the city.
HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT:
We are working to secure and protect the Drew Residence as we raise funds for full rehabilitation. If you are able, donations to the cause are gratefully accepted at sparcouncil.org/drew_fund, but we also want to invite our neighbors to support this initiative in other ways, including...
DREW DAY: A PAINT AND SIP EVENT:
We will gather to paint plywood tiles that will be affixed to the temporary window coverings at the Drew Residence. This is a great way to show your support for this project and to leave your personal touch on the building itself! This event is FREE and family-friendly, with supplies provided. The SPAR Bar will be on site, with all tips benefiting the Drew Rehabilitation Fund. Please join us for a drink and a little creativity and show your support for the Drew Residence Rehabilitation!
