Ponds: You Can't Always Get What You Want

Ponds can be attractive, create wildlife habitat, and store water for irrigation, stock watering, and other uses. However, they can present a variety of problems that can be difficult to address, including weeds, vectors, and inability to hold water effectively. This class will include four topic areas; pond construction, regulations, basic biology and chemistry, and potential problems with possible solutions.

Presenter Stan Dean is a registered civil engineer, specializing in many facets of the water environment, including municipal wastewater treatment, municipal water supply, water resources, water quality, and environmental regulations.

Cost: $15 or Sliding Scale Fee. Fees support the Land Steward Program
