Dawes Maple Syrup Day

Ooey, gooey, sweet fun awaits at The Dawes Arboretum’s 60th annual Maple Syrup Day on February 22. Best of all, this event is included with admission!

A nod to the cofounders, Beman and Bertie Dawes, Maple Syrup Day has memorialized the practice of harvesting sugar maple trees for their sap since 1919 - over 107 years ago. You can be a part of our history by attending the 60th Dawes Maple Syrup Day!

What to expect:
• Guided walks and tree-tapping demonstrations along the Maple Syrup Trail
• Maple and hickory syrup tastings at the Log Cabin
• Waffles on a stick and specialty drinks from Sips & Sticks Co.
• Live interpreters in period dress sharing maple syrup history
• Crafts, a historic photo slideshow and more!
