If you have his book, “The Arc of Skiing Jackson Hole, ” bring it to the event and McKoy will sigh it at the end of the event. Books will also be available for purchase from the author.

Wade McKoy has been photographing ski action since 1976. In the '70s and ’80s, he was among the first to document the budding, big mountain ski culture about to explode in Jackson Hole. A native of the Deep South, McKoy moved to Jackson, Wyoming, at age 22 from his hometown, Jackson, Mississippi. Soon, the place and its skiers fostered his development as a photographer, writer, skier, and mountaineer. These photos are a testament to the skiers he has worked with and the stories they have to tell. McKoy’s work behind the lens has been featured in many publications: Powder, Ski, Skiing, Outside, Backcountry, Men’s Journal, and National Inquirer. Past commercial clients include Marmot, The North Face, Patagonia, and Mountain Hardwear. For 20 years he documented ski ascents and culture in China, Russia, South America, Africa, India, Kashmir and Antarctica. Co-publisher of the Jackson Hole Skier magazine from 1985 to 2020, McKoy is now editing his images from 31 years shooting film and 14 years shooting with digital cameras. These storied photos will highlight McKoy's future books, The Arc of Skiing and People I've Known, Places We've Skied. A character behind and in front of the lens, McKoy has appeared in ski films Someday, Somebody Will Ski That, SWIFT. SILENT. DEEP., and is featured in a Salomon Freeski TV  segment, McKoy's Tetons.
