Panelists include Marlee Bunch, interdisciplinary educator; Jordan Stempleman, associate professor at the Kansas City Art Institute; Christopher Span, dean of the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University; and Joyce Ladner, civil rights activist. Bunch’s book, "Unlearning the Hush: Oral Histories of Black Female Educators in Mississippi in the Civil Rights Era," highlights the personal stories of women who guided students through Jim Crow laws and Civil Rights-era desegregation. 

This free event will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and will stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel.
