From Lucy Campbell of Duck Hill—the first African American woman to publish a hymn in 1919—to Dorothy Love-Coates, Roberta Martin, and Mattie Moss Clark, these women composed the soundtrack of faith and freedom for a generation. Through musical performance, stories, and historical insight, this presentation celebrates artistry, courage, and an enduring influence on America’s musical and spiritual landscape.
