Bring your fossil discoveries to get expert opinions about their ages and identities from our team of scientists. In addition to the Museum's fossil collection, there will be displays from collectors and exhibitors, hands-on activities, "fossil digs", and a scavenger hunt. So, go through your "rock boxes" and challenge our staff with your prehistoric oddities. 

Keynote Speaker: Cameron Muskelly at 11:30 a.m.
“Georgia Through Time: Clues of the Past Left Behind in the Rocks of the Peach State”. Georgia has a rich fossil record that goes back half a billion years. In this talk, we will explore some of the bygone worlds found in the rocks of this southeastern state. Cameron is a science communicator and an avocational paleontologist studying fossils from the Appalachian Basin.

Be sure to explore the Giants of the Ice Age exhibit, too!
