Glaude’s latest work, "America, U.S.A.: How Race Shadows the Nation’s Anniversaries", is an exploration of the nation’s legacy, its complicated past, and its tenuous future through voices such as W. E. B. Du Bois, John Dos Passos, Herman Melville, and Martin Luther King Jr.
