Shifts Available
Furnace Operators:
– 12-hour Day & Night Shifts (4 days on 4 days off)

Heavy Equipment & Machine Operators:
– 1st Shift (6:30am - 3:30pm)
– 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 11:30pm)
– 3rd Shift (10:30pm - 7:30am)
*Shift differential of $2.00 for any hours worked between 6:00pm - 6:00am

FURNACE OPERATOR

Requirements
– Work experience in an operational environment is advantageous
– Driver's license for industrial trucks and overhead crane operation (or willingness to obtain)
– Experience with an oxygen burner lance and demolition robot (or willingness to obtain)
– Willingness to take responsibility and make decisions within equipment and process margins
– Open-minded, teamwork-oriented, result-driven, eager to learn, safety-conscious, and quality-aware.
– Self-reflective and open to constructive criticism
– Reliability and openness to change processes
– Must be willing and physically able to walk/work in, observe and spend time in a smelter environment
– Must be willing and physically able to work in intense heat situations
– Able to sit, stand and walk for varying periods of time in the plant
– Must be able to perform the following: walking, standing, climbing, pulling, and or pushing, carrying, grasping, using hand-to-finger movement, balancing, reaching, twisting, turning, and stooping

Responsibilities
As a Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and managing smelting and refining process equipment. Our team, comprised of skilled operators with clearly defined roles, plays a crucial role in achieving high-quality results after comprehensive training.
– Utilize process control systems to respond to alarms, change parameters, and manage machinery
– Perform basic cleaning and maintenance tasks, ensuring operational spaces are tidy and equipment is well-maintained
– Use compressed air-driven tools for cleaning slag or molten metal
– Assist refractory operators in small equipment repairs
– Execute process steps, including equipment operation, material flux application, and remote control of overhead crane
– Follow up on process parameters, evaluate progress, and make decisions to achieve production goals
– Prepare and clean equipment before and after use, ensuring adherence to official work instructions
– Resolve minor malfunctions and participate in continuous improvement processes
– Maintain material silos and conveyors, ensure material flow, remove material build-ups and blockages, and clean the equipment


HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Requirements
– High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
– 3-5 years of machine/equipment operations in a manufacturing environment
– Able to lift 50 lbs repetitively
– Able to stand for long periods
– Stable work history
– Must be able to understand and respond to various notifications, both visual and audible, unless otherwise stated by the client

Responsibilities
– Working in a fixed shift in operating heavy mobile equipment such as forklifts, wheel loaders, and excavators while maximizing efficiency, balancing costs, and setting quality benchmarks.
– Taking care of daily warehouse duties, such as loading and unloading trucks or other vehicles, blending materials, pulling orders, labeling goods received and inspecting products before shipping
– Responsible for operating heavy mobile equipment in a professionally and technically correct way with a focus on costs, quality, and efficiency
– Execution, as well as continuous optimization of workflows within material handling with a focus on recycling raw materials for non-ferrous metallurgy
– All other duties as assigned


MACHINE OPERATOR

Requirements
– High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
– 3-5 years of machine/equipment operations in a manufacturing environment
