ANDRÉ IS AN IDIOT Free Screening

André Is an Idiot (2025) is a "a riotously funny, painfully honest film about facing death" (The Guardian). The film chronicles André Ricciardi’s final days after a stage-four cancer diagnosis caused by skipping a preventable colonoscopy. Directed by Tony Benna, the film blends raw honesty, dark humor, and animation to show how a self-proclaimed "idiot" finds joy, love, and purpose while facing death.

The Mississippi Film Society is pleased to invite you to a special free screening of André is an Idiot on Tuesday night, March 10, at 7 pm at the Capri Theatre in Fondren. Tickets are first come, first served and limited to 4 per order. The film is unrated but there is mature language and themes throughout. 18+ recommended. Food and concessions will be available for purchase at the theater.

This screening kicks off our spring Stranger Than Fiction Film Series, which is made possible, in part, by a grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission.
