A USA 250th Commemorative Event. Larry Armstrong, an attorney from Enfield, NC will give a presentation on Col. Nicholas Long who led the troops at the Battle of Great Bridge (present day Chesapeake, VA). The Halifax troops, under Long's leadership figured heavily in the patriot victory at this early, decicive battle of the American revolution. The presentation begins at 3 p.m. A reception will be included.
