Op zaterdag 27 juni 2026 toveren we Cultuurhuis De Leest in Izegem weerom om tot een 'new wave tempel' voor de vijfde editie van de Pekkersfeesten. Traditiegetrouw kan je op deze zwarte zaterdag genieten van topbands uit het genre, met deze keer een extra internationale line-up tere ere van onze vijfde editie. DJ Fap Noir zorgt uiteraard weer voor een schitterende afterparty (alsook tussendoor). Opnieuw niet te missen!
Tickets kosten 45 euro in voorverkoop en 52 euro aan de deur! Deuren openen om 14u, de eerste band start om 15u. Het exacte tijdschema wordt later bekendgemaakt. Mis deze schitterende editie van Pekkersfeesten niet!

On Saturday 27 June 2026, we will once again transform Cultural Centre De Leest in Izegem into a “new wave temple” for the fifth edition of the Pekkersfeesten. As is tradition, on this black Saturday you can enjoy top bands from the genre, this time with an extra international line-up in honour of our fifth edition. DJ Fap Noir will of course provide a fantastic afterparty (as well as in between). Once again, not to be missed!
Tickets cost 45 euros in advance online and 52 euros at the door! Doors open at 2 p.m., with the first band starting at 3 p.m. The exact time schedule will be announced later. Don't miss this fantastic edition of Pekkersfeesten!
COVENANT
We live in dark, confusing times. Covenant wants to tell stories and sing about how that makes us feel. In a world that has stopped making sense, we need to learn how to see in the dark and Covenant is a triumphant embrace of the strength and resilience of the soul. It’s the dystopian, unforgiving music of the reflective shadows we all carry within us, and as beautiful as a collapsed star. Covenant is an electronic band from Sweden and has since it’s foundation in 1986 performed in 42 countries over 6 continents. Founding members Joakim Montelius and Eskil Simonsson are currently working on new material. Like a probing Nautilus steering straight through black waters, changing with change, moving within motion. Welcome to the void. What an honour to have Covenant headline Pekkersfeesten 2026, it’s going to be a blast!
TRAITRS
With their emotive melodies, propulsive rhythms, angular guitars and dark cinematic electronics, TRAITRS have quickly become one of modern post-punk’s fastest rising independent bands. Consisting of Sean-Patrick Nolan and Shawn Tucker, TRAITRS formed during the summer of 2015 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. The duo recorded demos with producer/engineer Josh Korody (Nailbiter, F*cked Up, Japandroids, Dilly Dally), garnered the attention of Pleasence Records label head James Lindsay and released their debut cassette Rites And Ritual in April 2016. After gaining buzz in the European and North American dark music scenes, TRAITRS released their critically acclaimed LP Butcher’s Coin (Pleasence Records, Manic Depression Records, Alchera Visions) in May 2018. Backed by the strength of lead single ‘Thin Flesh’, the duo embarked on a series of lengthy tours overseas, performed in over a dozen countries including showcases at Wave Gothic Treffen, Castle Party, Extramuralhas, Nocturnal Culture Night, Wavefest, Canadian Music Week and Pop! Montreal. Let’s give this great Canadian duo a warm welcome at Pekkersfeesten 2026!
MERCIFUL NUNS
Emerged from the ashes of the legendary Garden Of Delight – and the similarity ends here – Merciful Nuns has evolved from leading the XXI century’s resurgence of Goth to becoming a unique genre in itself. These Germans have retrieved what made early sinister music vibrate in all their natural force at a time when the blurred line between Post-Punk and Goth Rock still enabled a healthy mutual transfer. Nevertheless, their approach to that essential spirit is much polished and modern. Merciful Nuns is an insatiable beast, as its prolific - yet compelling - output has demonstrated since 2010. No less than 12 albums, 6 EPs and 2 live recordings form their rich musical legacy. With a new album coming up in autumn 2025, called FINISTERE, we are really looking forward to see them live at Pekkersfeesten 2026!
DUCTAPE
Birthed from the underground music scene of bustling Istanbul, Ductape carries the torch of the seminal post-punk revolution. But they aren't just echoing their predecessors; they are pushing the genre into unexplored territories. In a world where genres are increasingly becoming blurred, Ductape stands tall, unapologetically crafting a sound that challenges, captivates, and resonates. They are the sound of post-punk's beating heart, the echo of darkwave's melodic discourse, and the voice of gothic introspective narratives. Ductape is the sound of then, now, and what's to come. With deep, brooding bass lines that interweave with unruly guitar riffs and pathos-laden lyrics, Ductape's sound embodies the essence of post-punk — the raw energy, the rebellious spirit, and the unyielding desire to experiment. Simultaneously nostalgic and future-forward, their music commands the listener's attention from the first note to the last. United by their shared passion for sonic exploration, the members of Ductape - Çagla & Furkan form a tight-knit unit that thrives on creative synergy.
FRAGMENT
The four members of the Ghent band FRAGMENT continue to enthusiastically explore the new music of the current generations. But still, they can't shake off the 80s. A year after their debut EP “And Then I Fell Apart” (November 2022), FRAGMENT is once again stirring things up with “There's A Riot Goin” On'. Without compromising on their multi-layered sound. Anyone who has seen them live knows that a FRAGMENT gig is never just a casual affair. The band always gives 100% and invariably gets the audience going. That's going to spark some excitement at the Pekkersfeesten!
