Ter opwarming van de 5de editie van Pekkersfeesten die op 27 juni 2026 plaatsvindt, houden we op vrijdag 1 mei al een echte warm-up party met twee zeer mooie namen uit het donkere genre: Gare Noir en als kers op de taart: Darkways.
GARE NOIR: Het is 2022. Red Zebra drukt de pauzeknop in. Bandleden Sam Claeys en Frits Standaert jammen rustig voort en richten Gare Noir op. Met een resem aan onontgonnen songideeën staan ze waar ze zich thuisvoelen: op het podium. Met invloeden uit new wave, postpunk en EBM brengt Gare Noir een frisse, krachtige sound zonder te vervallen in clichématige 80's-nostalgie. Hier draait alles om de energie van de songs - tijdloos, meeslepend en live nog krachtiger!
DARKWAYS: Darkways is een gothrock-, darkwave- en postpunkduo uit Barcelona, Spanje. Hun debuutalbum, Resonance (eind 2024), werd alom geprezen door critici, waardoor de band in 2025 door heel Europa optrad met meerdere uitverkochte shows en optredens op grote festivals, waaronder Wave-Gotik-Treffen, Der Schwarze Ball, Castle Party,... waar ze het podium deelden met legendarische bands als Sisters of Mercy, VNV Nation, French Police en nog veel meer...Het duo creëert een betoverend geluidslandschap waarin darkwave-roots worden vermengd met de nostalgische geest van vintage gothrock en meeslepende elektronische texturen. Hun geluid is zowel sfeervol als energiek en neemt luisteraars mee naar een wereld van schimmige melodieën en stuwende ritmes. Marc Pérez (zang, ritmegitaar) & Lluís Sanz (leadgitaar) zullen het beste van zichzelf geven!
Dit event vindt plaats in JOC Izegem (GPS: Krekelstraat 167, 8870 Izegem). Er is parking voorzien naast JOC, maar ook de parking van Cultuurcentrum De Leest is vlakbij. Deuren gaan open om 19u - Concerten starten om 20u. Tickets aan de deur kosten 25 euro.

This event takes place at JOC Izegem (GPS: Krekelstraat 167, 8870 Izegem). Parking is available next to JOC, but the Cultuurcentrum De Leest car park is also nearby. Doors open at 7 p.m. - Concerts start at 8 p.m. Tickets at the door cost 25 euros.
