What to expect:A day outside managing some of the existing woodland and planting some new trees to enrich what's already there.About Bangrove Nature Recovery ProjectBangrove Nature Project is a 250 acre ecological restoration project in north Suffolk which is far reaching in its ambitions, both ecologically and socially. Youngwilders are collaborating on the project, focusing specifically on a 30 acre subset of the site. The site is made up of a fascinating mix of river habitat, wet woodland and ponds, an old arable field, and even a historic moat!Event Details:Date: Saturday 31st January 2026Time: 10:00am - 4:30pmLocation: Bangrove Nature Recovery Project, Thetford Road, Ixworth, Suffolk, IP31 2HBGroup Size: Approx. 25Food:Snacks, tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch!Getting there:Via Train:The closest train station is Bury St Edmunds. We will be organising lifts, at 9:40am, from the station to the site for those who need it. At the end of the day we will be organising lifts back to the station by 4:30pm.If you have any questions re: getting to the site via public transport, please reach out to Layla (layla@youngwilders.uk).Via Car:If you are able to drive to the site, please let us know in the order form as we will be trying to encourage car sharing wherever possible!What3Words Meet Point: ///myths.radiates.casesAccessibility:We can offer travel reimbursement, so if you can send us receipts or proof of travel payment and your bank details, we will reimburse you as soon as possible. Please send the reimbursement request to Noah (noah@youngwilders.uk) with a PDF attachment.There is limited foot paths on site and all of the work we will be doing is off the paths. The ground is unsteady, with mounds and holes in places, and the bank of the pond is a fairly steep, please wear study footwear with good grip.
