Who is this for?Young people aged 18-30 interested in spending time outside with other like-minded folk and keen to learn about ponds, and then do some woodland management!What to expect:A day outside looking at the pond, carrying out basic surveying of plants, insects and water quality and then carrying out some woodland maintenance tasks :) About Bangrove Nature Recovery ProjectBangrove Nature Project is a 250 acre ecological restoration project in north Suffolk which is far reaching in its ambitions, both ecologically and socially. Youngwilders are collaborating on the project, focusing specifically on a 30 acre subset of the site. The site is made up of a fascinating mix of river habitat, wet woodland and ponds, an old arable field, and even a historic moat!Event Details:Date: Saturday 9th May 2026 Time: 10:00am - 4:30pmLocation: Bangrove Nature Recovery Project, Thetford Road, Ixworth, Suffolk, IP31 2HBGroup Size: Approx. 25Food:Snacks, tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch!Getting there:Via Train:The closest train station is Bury St Edmunds. We will be organising lifts, at 9:40am, from the station to the site for those who need it. The ground is unsteady, with mounds and holes in places, and the bank of the pond is a fairly steep, please wear study footwear with good grip.
