We'll also be felling lots of the surrounding Willow trees to increase the sunlight that reaches the pond, all in time for the pond to refill over the winter when we can begin surveying it!About Bangrove Nature Recovery Project:Bangrove Nature Project is a 250 acre ecological restoration project in north Suffolk which is far reaching in its ambitions, both ecologically and socially. Youngwilders are collaborating on the project, focusing specifically on a 30 acre subset of the site. The site is made up of a fascinating mix of river habitat, wet woodland and ponds, an old arable field, and even a historic moat!Event Details:Date: Sunday 23rd November 2025Time: 10:00 am - 4:00 pmLocation: Bangrove Nature Recovery Project, Thetford Road, Ixworth, Suffolk, IP31 2HBGroup Size: Approx. 25Food:Snacks, tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch!Getting there:Via Train:The closest train station is Bury St Edmunds. We will be organising lifts, at 9:40am, from the station to the site for those who need it. The ground is unsteady, with mounds and holes in places, and the bank of the pond is a fairly steep, please wear study footwear with good grip.
