Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just curious to see where movement can take you, you’re welcome here.

We’ll have musicians playing live to get things started, but the music doesn’t belong only to them. Dancers and movers are welcome to join the conversation through rhythm, voice, body percussion, instruments, movement or whatever other creative impulses arise. The idea is not to separate musicians from dancers, but to co-create the experience together.

You might:

explore contact improvisation
move between solo and shared movement
connect with other dancers and musicians
contribute rhythm, sound or music
sit, listen and let the music move through you
There is no single “right” way to participate.

Tuning in together
We’ll begin with a one-hour guided warmup designed to help us arrive in our bodies, tune into ourselves and ease into the space together. For those interested in dancing with others, we’ll also explore some simple tools and a shared vocabulary that can help us connect during the jam.

Our first session
This is the very first Body Rhythm Live, so we’re intentionally leaving room for the format to evolve. We don’t have a fixed formula yet — we’ll discover what this gathering wants to become by creating it together.

What we do want to create is a welcoming, respectful and non-judgmental space where people can explore, play, experiment and be themselves.
