Our Voyager Lecture Series returns with an evening that journeys to the edge of human exploration—Jupiter.

In 2016, NASA’s Juno spacecraft slipped into a polar orbit around the giant planet, carrying a remarkable instrument: JunoCam, a visible-light camera designed not just for scientists, but for all of us. From this unique vantage point, a new understanding of Jupiter’s swirling clouds and monumental storms is emerging—alongside a surprising collaboration between science and art.

In this talk, planetary scientist Dr. Candice Koharcheck will share how JunoCam invites the public into the real work of an imaging team. Members of the public process raw spacecraft images, transforming data into breathtaking portraits of Jupiter. The results are a striking blend of discovery and creativity
