Join Amy Glaser from Crooked Creek Sheep and Wool and Karen Stern from Windsong Farm to explore techniques for spinning from locks. We will be using wool locks from multiple sheep breeds to create lock-spun singles and variegated colored yarn from variegated flicked locks. Fiber types will include Wensleydale, Corriedale, Gotland, Shetland, Finn, Navaho Churro, Icelandic and locks from mixed-breed sheep. Participants will need to bring a spinning wheel and be comfortable starting and stopping the wheel to join fiber to a spun strand. There will be 2 wheels available for use for those without a wheel. These should be reserved at the time of registration. Class size limited to 10 participants.
