Guided through this collaborative project from design to completion, participants will learn sculpting techniques, work with paint and fabric, and learn to rig and manipulate large puppets in a parade setting.The workshop will culminate in two collaborative appearances–a Fourth of July parade, and Aire Craft’s Sky Parade–where participants will animate their creations as part of vibrant public celebrations. This workshop is perfect for artists, educators, and anyone interested in the intersection of theater, visual art, and play. Participation in all four sessions is preferred but not required.
