The much loved Richmond May Fair returns to the Green on Saturday 9th May. Join us at the WGW stall, where we are hoping you can stop by to support us for a few hours with your hounds or a kennel hound or offer to help instead at the stall. This is a fabulously attended fair we were lucky enough to be invited to again and there is even a dog show you can enter your hound in. Please help us raise funds and show what fabulous pets greyhounds make. 

Promising a full day of entertainment, shopping and family fun, this popular annual event is a great platform to promote greyhounds as pets, as well as an opportunity to raise funds for the homeless hounds in our Kennels to cover vet bills etc.  If you are interested in  bringing along your hound/s or a kennel hound, please message or contact WGW Manager,  Carol Cowie, at the Kennels or tel 01932 251894. if you wish to help at our WGW Hersham Hounds stall, including set up and pack up,  please contact WGW supporter,  Allison Stevens, who is heading up the Event & Stall on the day and has kindly booked the stall for us. There will be an adjoining stall shelter for houndie shade and rest periods. 

Organisers say this year's event will once again bring together local charities, businesses and residents for a vibrant community celebration that has been a Richmond tradition for more than 50 years.

Visitors can expect a wide range of artisan stalls, charity stands, food and drink vendors, along with a traditional funfair and the ever-popular Dog Show.

The Fair will also feature a full programme of free live entertainment, with several new attractions planned for 2026.

By popular demand, the world-famous Hammersmith Morris Men will once again perform throughout the day around the Green, bringing traditional music and dance to the day.
