Ms. Carey's Spring Art Pop-Up

Unlock your child’s creativity this Spring Break! Join us at the Mustang Recreation Center for a 2-day boutique art intensive led by Las Colinas Elementary’s favorite art teacher, Ms. Carey. This isn't just a "craft" camp—it’s a deep dive into technical skills, artistic expression, and hands-on making.

What to Expect

Students will spend their days in an immersive studio environment. Rather than simple coloring, we focus on tactile, three-dimensional art that kids can be proud of.

• Tuesday: 3D Sculpture Studio We kick off the week by thinking in 3D! Using Model Magic and mixed media, students will learn to sculpt expressive Dragon Eyes and hyper-realistic miniature cupcakes. We will also explore architectural basics by turning recycled cardboard into large-scale 3D constructions.
• Thursday: Fiber Arts & Textiles On day two, we slow down and focus on the art of the thread. Students will learn the rhythmic basics of weaving and the fundamental motor skills of hand-sewing. From creating textured wall hangings to small fabric creations, this day is all about pattern, patience, and touch.

• Expert Instruction: Taught by a certified art educator (Ms. Carey).
• High-Quality Materials: All professional-grade supplies are included in the tuition.
• Small Group Setting: Limited to just 15 students to ensure every child gets one-on-one guidance.
• Active Breaks: Weather permitting, we will use the Mustang Park playground for fresh air and movement.
