Woodland Wakeup is a charity so relies on grant funding and donations to be able to run. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to keep us going!ACTIVITIES & BENEFITSThe session will include activities like fire building and using tools safely, nature art, identifying flora and fauna, hammocks and tree-swings, mindfulness, with lots of opportunities for unstructured play and exploring the woods.Children are encouraged to choose their own adventure: resilience, confidence, self-esteem, independence and many other qualities can be enhanced by this kind of session, so kids are more able to thrive and be at peace with themselves in our chaotic and ever-changing world.ASNAll of our sessions are neurodivergent / ASN friendly. Children with mild ASN that can listen / follow instructions and manage themselves independently are welcome to come to the session on their own. Children with more profound needs who require support with behaviour or up to 1:1 care will need to be accompanied by a parent/ carer.
