Each station is intended to be practiced and embodied until it becomes a lasting quality of the heart, guiding participants from spiritual poverty to intimacy with Allah and service to His creation.

For years, I wanted to grow spiritually, but I often felt as though I wasn’t making meaningful progress. I read countless books, attended class after class, and benefited from them all, yet I struggled to bridge the gap between knowing and becoming.

One of the inspirations for this project was my mentor, Dr. Sherman Jackson, and his book, Sufism for Non-Sufis. It prompted me to ask a simple question: Could the spiritual path be presented in a way that is practical, accessible, and relevant for everyone, a spirituality for the masses?

As I immersed myself in the writings of our classical scholars, I realized that they had already mapped out a complete path of spiritual transformation from beginning to end. What seemed to be missing was a practical framework that made the journey easier to follow and easier to live.

That realization led me to develop this twelve-maqam/step program. It organizes the classical spiritual path into a structured, measurable framework that encourages accountability and steady growth. Each week includes guided reflection questions and practical exercises designed to help shorten the gap between information and transformation, while identifying the obstacles that keep us from genuine spiritual awakening and closeness to Allah.

I have poured my heart, soul, and intellect into this program, refining it over several iterations and teaching it to different groups. I have witnessed not only my own continued growth but also the positive impact it has had on many participants.
