A fresh, progressive retelling of the beloved musical!
Seeking a diverse and dynamic cast of ten performers for Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelakβs beloved musical Godspell. This ensemble-based show requires strong singers, expressive actors, and high-energy performers comfortable with improvisation and audience interaction. All roles require strong comedic and dramatic skills.

32 bars (or no more than 90 seconds) of a song that showcases your vocal ability.
Bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided.
πΉ Video Submissions: Accepted for those unable to attend in person.

We welcome performers of all ages, types, genders, races, colors, and creeds for this ensemble-driven production! Seeking dynamic, expressive singers and actors with strong storytelling abilities.

Evenings & Saturdays (No rehearsals on Fridays or Sundays)
Schedule will be based on actor availability, with reasonable conflicts accommodated.
π Performance Run: July 24 β August 3 (8 performances)
Thursdays β Sundays at 8:00 PM
Tech Week: Begins Friday, July 18 (mandatory for all actors)

Roles Available:
Jesus (Tenor, A2-G5)
The loving and charismatic leader who teaches his followers through parables and song. A warm, gentle presence with great emotional depth, humor, and strength. Must command the stage effortlessly and connect deeply with the ensemble and audience.
John the Baptist/Judas (Baritone, A2-E5)
John the Baptist prepares the way for Jesus, baptizing him at the beginning of the show. Judas is later torn between devotion and betrayal. This role requires a strong singer and an actor who can navigate both inspirational leadership and internal conflict.
Ensemble Roles (8 Performers, Various Vocal Ranges)
Each ensemble member plays a unique personality within the group, bringing their own energy, comedic timing, and vocal prowess to the storytelling. All ensemble members must be comfortable with physical comedy, movement, and improvisation.
Soprano (C4-F5) β Bright, expressive, and capable of soaring high notes. Often sings the beautiful βDay by Day.β
Mezzo-Soprano (B3-E5) β Warm and soulful, often leading heartfelt moments like βBy My Side.β
Alto (G3-E5) β Strong belter, brings depth to songs like βTurn Back, O Man.β
Tenor 1 (C3-G5) β Dynamic and expressive, often leading βAll Good Gifts.β
Tenor 2 (B2-G4) β Energetic and versatile, contributes to harmonies and leads βWe Beseech Thee.β
Baritone (A2-E4) β Strong comedic skills, often handling playfully mischievous moments.
Bass/Baritone (G2-D4) β A grounding presence in the ensemble, deep and resonant vocals.
All performers must be comfortable with harmony singing and group storytelling. Instrumental ability (guitar, percussion, etc.) is a plus but not required. Rehearsals will focus on ensemble-building and collaborative storytelling, with an emphasis on each actorβs unique talents. Searching for all ages, types, genders, races, colors, and creeds!
