The Orange County CFO Leadership CouncilWednesday, March 20, 20187:15 AM to 8:00 AM Networking | 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM Program

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Emotional Intelligence (EI) / Emotional Quotient (EQ) = EIQ has been identified as the most important skill for business leaders to possess, and the most challenging for financial executives to master. What does this mean?  It is the ability to manage interpersonal relationships and to understand, interpret and respond to the emotions of others. This misunderstood skill has been shown to correlate more directly to success in business than IQ, education, or any other factor.

Join us for ‘EQ vs. IQ:  The Professional Battle for Success,’ a highly interactive session that seeks to demystify this skill set, and offer practical examples of you can exercise and improve this skill to the benefit of your business.

Learning Objectives:

An understanding of the most relevant academic research that supports the most successful ways to use emotional intelligence in a professional setting, and a candid assessment of one's ability to improve EIQ.

A look at the evolution of the CFO role, and why EIQ will be an increasingly important competitive advantage for executives.

An understanding of one's own EIQ, and how to maximize potential given your strengths and weaknesses.
