- **Event Description**: Armfolk is one of Armenia's most celebrated cultural youth groups, dedicated to preserving and sharing the country's vibrant traditions through performance and education. The Armfolk Yerevan Group is a highly talented ensemble of dancers from Armenia's capital, presenting dynamic choreography and folk dances representing various regions of historic Armenia. They have been hand-selected for this tour based on their exceptional artistry and international recognition.

Their visit to Ironton is part of the International Youth Cultural Exchange Tour, organized by the International Arts Fund, a volunteer-run Rotarian organization dedicated to promoting intercultural dialogue through the arts. The tour brings Armenian culture to communities across the United States, with stops in major cities including Washington D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Atlanta. Ironton is one of the smallest communities on the tour, and we are proud to be on the map.

For many of these young performers, this is their first time traveling internationally. For our community, it is a chance to experience the music, dance and traditions of Armenia right here at home. 

This free performance is made possible by the Rotary Club of Ironton, Friends of Ironton, and the generous support of the Lawrence County Community Foundation. The show will be held at the newly renovated Ro-Na Theatre in downtown Ironton. Come be part of a warm Ironton welcome for these remarkable young artists. All ages welcome, and admission is free!
