To ensure the course is delivered in line with the relevant policy and procedures the set number of contact hours for the course must be met and full attendance of all parts of the course is required to pass and receive a certificate. The course will involve practical exercises, for example kneeling on the floor to practice resuscitation. We recommend that you wear appropriate casual clothing. If you have any condition that may prevent you from taking part in practical activities please contact your GP for advice before attending.

Other practical exercises completed as part of your assessment require you to place other candidates into the recovery position and to administer bandaging techniques. Candidates will also need to practice theses skills with you as a ‘patient’ in order to achieve the required assessments. Failure to participate in these activities will result in not achieving the required assessments for certification without refund.

If we feel you will put yourself or others at risk, we may not be able to allow you to complete course.

Candidates will need a basic command of English. While we are able to support candidates who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance.

Please advise us at the earliest opportunity by contacting aW5mbyB8IGFsbHN0YXJzYWZldHkgISBjbyAhIHVr or 01473 561402 if you require any reasonable adjustments or additional support, due to a disability or long-term health condition, to enable you to undertake this training.

Quality assurance recording

Please note we sometimes use cameras in our training rooms to film during our courses as part of our ongoing quality assurance. This is not used for assessing candidates and will not impact on your results.

The trainer will let you know if a recording is taking place, and you will have the opportunity to raise any concerns. Once quality assurance has been completed the recordings are deleted.
