🦊 For 30 years, Calkins Nature Area has been at the forefront of conservation education in Hardin County. The community has enjoyed our trails, wildlife, and all that our facility has to offer for an incredible 3 decades. It’s time to celebrate that milestone! 

 🗓️ We are excited to host our 30th anniversary celebration on Saturday, October 10th and we want you here with us! The day starts with a 5k run/walk throughout our property. We then have lunch, geocaching, bingo, scavenger hunts, hayrack rides, and an evening glow walk. The schedule is listed below.

💰 All the funds raised during the event will be put towards the construction of our NEW ANIMAL ENCLOSURES. Even if you don’t want to participate in activities, your monetary support will benefit our non-releasable wildlife. You can even see a completed, brand new enclosure on site the day of the event. That way, you can see exactly what your donations are going towards. This event is part of the IFSB Community Impact Challenge, so all of the dollars we raise will be matched by the bank. Help us make a difference for our animals!
