We are surrounded by sound every moment of the day. Consciously and unconsciously, we absorb sound frequencies and vibrations. With so many sources of external sounds encountered daily, it is important to maintain a sense of calm, balance, and feeling well. These can be achieved with a “re-set” of our energy centers with mindful use of sound therapy.
How is it possible that intentional sound can help us? Everything in the universe vibrates at certain frequencies, just as our bodies do. When the frequency of our body becomes dissonant (“out of sorts”), our body may be more susceptible to disfunction, which can show up as fatigue, a sense of heaviness/lethargy, sleep disturbances (insomnia), headaches, gut distress, mental fog, etc. The use of sound can help promote wellness by adjusting the functionality of our systems via our energy centers (chakras).
A beneficial act of self-care, an intentional sound session can open these energy centers. By doing so, we can reach our full potential by gaining a greater capacity to perceive opportunities and possibilities from a relaxed, elevated state of well-being. As we rebalance and recharge our energy centers through the use of intentional sound, we find it easier to be in “flow,” follow our intuition and be aware of meaningful coincidences and synchronistic events as we begin to feel more empowered and refreshed. These are enhancements that make Life more purposeful and enjoyable.
