The Shimek Ravine offers hiking trails, critical habitat to wildlife (including endangered species), and greenspace vital to carbon sequestration and improved air quality...and so much more. This greenspace is threatened by invasive plant species such as round-leaf bittersweet, bush honeysuckle, bush honeysuckle, barberry, and much more. A group of dedicated volunteers have been working on improving this habitat for years but they need your help! Join us for one or several upcoming volunteer events where you will receive training on invasive removal and be a part of this collective action to care for our land.
