Johnson County community members and local organizations can donate quality, new, or gently-used items they no longer need or pick up items at no cost that they have a use for!

These events are meant to be a no-cost exchange space to keep quality materials in use and out of the landfill. Whether you have a new or partially used container of craft paint or surplus yarn from a sweater knitting project, this program is for you. 

Shopping Events

Pick up free supplies:

Friday, August 21 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Saturday, August 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donations will not be accepted at the Shopping Events. 

Bring your own bag or box to carry and transport items you would like to take with you!

Parking at East Side Recycling Center may be limited. 

Bus: East Side Recycling Center is located along Iowa City Transit's Eastside Loop and South Iowa City bus routes. 

Bike: East Side Recycling Center is located along a bike route on Scott Blvd. and bike parking is available in front of the Education Center.
