Improv Workshop - Finding the Game

These workshops are for people who love jumping into the unknown with nothing but instinct, a half-formed idea, and maybe a weird voice...

Or for anyone who wants to get better at saying “yes” to whatever weird curveball life throws at them. And then doing the “and” part...

Each session is a standalone deep dive into a different part of improv — characters, scenes, games, brain-melting group stuff, or just saying both “yes” and “and.” Come to one. Come to five. Come to all of them and achieve full chaotic enlightenment.

No experience needed. Just show up, stay present, and maybe bring a water bottle. Because it turns out that you can practice making stuff up.

This workshop will focus on Relationships

Establishing relationships is crucial to a good improv scene. This Valentine-themed workshop will focus on establishing interesting and compelling relationships in scenes.

Dan Junis has been involved in Iowa City’s improv scene for the past 7 years, both as a performer and teacher. He's a founding member of Willow Creek's long-form team Lady Franklyn, and is currently performing with Harold team Pope Cactus.
