Beyond Clouds and Fire; Exploring Heaven and Hell in the Christian Tradition

Join Pastor James for a thoughtful 10-week exploration of how Christians have understood heaven and hell throughout history. From ancient Hebrew concepts of Sheol to Jesus’s teachings about the kingdom of heaven, from early church debates to modern theological perspectives, we’ll discover the rich diversity of thought within our faith tradition.
This class will examine both the hopeful visions of heaven (sessions 1-5) and the challenging questions about hell (sessions 6-10) and is perfect for anyone curious about the biblical foundations and historical development of these central Christian ideas.
Morning Session: 10:30 AM in Fellowship Hall (also broadcast virtually).
Evening Session: 6:30 PM in the Lounge.
