Winner of the 2001 Tony Award® for Best Play and Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Proof is the story of Catherine, a troubled young woman on the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday, who has spent years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student of her father’s who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind. Over the long weekend that follows, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious notebook draw Catherine into the most difficult problem of all: How much of her father’s madness—or genius—will she inherit?

April 12th 1-4pm Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room B
April 15th 6-9pm Iowa City Public Library, Meeting Room D

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script

Performances will be June 5-6 & 12-13 at 7:30pm and June 7 & 14 at 2pm

This show will be held at the Artifactory, 120 N Dubuque St
