- **Event Description**: Explore and learn about the colorful spring kaleidoscope that blooms in great profusion along the bluffs of Point Reyes!About this EventJoin PRNSA Field Institute Instructor and naturalist Wendy Dreskin and our member community for a two-mile out-and-back hike at Chimney Rock, learning about the wildflowers that call this place home. We will spend the morning getting to know the many species of flowers found here, learning about their Native American uses, the butterflies that use them as host plants, and the botanists who introduced them to Western science. Be prepared to stop for any surprises along the way! Meet at the Chimney Rock trailhead parking lot. Parking is very limited. Carpooling is encouraged. Restrooms are available at the trailhead. Please note: Parts of this trail have eroded. Consider bringing trekking poles if know you’ll want more support on uneven terrain. More information about Chimney Rock Trail here.
